The historic Stockton 99 Speedway will kick-off another season of close quartered & exciting competition this Saturday April 5 when the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series begins the 2014 season at the Stockton, CA based bullring.
There will also be an open test & tune on Friday April 4, which will run from 3pm to dark.
Divisions set to attack the quarter-mile asphalt oval during Saturday’s season-opener at Stockton 99 Speedway include the Western Late Models, Grand American Modifieds, Legends of the Pacific, Pure Stocks and Mini Cups. Front gate opens for spectators at 5pm, with racing scheduled for 6pm.
Adult general admission tickets on Saturday for ages 16 & up will be $15, juniors 11-15 will be $10, with kids 10 & under free. Seniors 60 & older and military with id will be $10. A family packed featuring two adult GA tickets & two junior tickets will be available for $40. Reigning champions at the Stockton 99 Speedway include Grand American Modified titlist Jason Philpot, Western Late Model champion Matt Scott, Jason Aguirre in the Super Stocks, Ben Lewis II in Pure Stocks, Brad Mast in the 4-Cylinders and Gabriel Herzog in the Mini Cups.
The special Tri-Holiday Series returns once again to the Stockton 99 Speedway this year, with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in action on Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend and Labor Day weekend. The dates are Saturday May 24, Saturday July 5 and Saturday August 30. Last year’s Tri-Holiday champs included Scott Winters in the Grand American Modifieds, Matt Scott in the Western Late Models, Ben Lewis in the Pure Stocks, Chad Holman in the Super Stocks and Mark Jacke in B4’s.
Including the Tri-Holiday Series there will be 12 events featuring the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the track, which kicks off on Saturday April 5 & closes on September 13. The season ending sixth annual “Fall Classic” will take place on Saturday October 4 and this year will include the Watermelon Bash Enduro, along with Western Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks & B-4’s.
Other highlights on the schedule for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series include the annual “Johnny Brazil Night” on Saturday August 16 and “Kids Night” on Saturday June 14. The traveling BCRA Midgets will tackle the Stockton 99 Speedway on Saturday April 12.
