TRI-HOLIDAY SERIES CONTINUES SATURDAY WITH STRMISKA
AND HUGE FIREWORKS SHOW!

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (June 27, 2016) - Stockton 99 Speedway welcomes back the Pacific Challenge Series Super Late Models to celebrate Independence Day, with a very special second round of the Tri-Holiday Series. In addition to a great night of racing and fireworks, the race will be the second annual Ron Strmiska Memorial 100. The PCS will pay $4000 to win and should be one of the most coveted victories this year for the touring series.

Stockton Late Models will race for 60 laps and $2000 to win as well! Grand American Modifieds, Bombers, and California Mini Cups round out the action-packed night of racing for the 68 year-old quarter-mile bullring on N. Wilson Way.

Strmiska was known as the Manteca Missile and also known for his distinctive pink #90 race cars. He won both the 1978 and 1979 Late Model Sportsman track championships and the success transferred to his son Ron, Jr. and grandson Ross as well. Ross Strmiska will be one of many valley drivers competing against the touring stars of the PCS.

Jacob Gomes of Manteca is the 2015 SRL champion and 2016 Madera PCS race winner and should be another tough customer. Other drivers with local ties expected include 2014 PCS champion Mike Beeler of Modesto, 2016 Shasta PCS winner Tracy Bolin of Valley Springs, Manteca's JR Courage, and many more.

17-time PCS race winner Jeremy Doss of Upperlake, CA leads the points standings ahead of Beeler, Tracy's Jeff Bischofberger, Bolin, and Granite Bay's Cole Moore. Cole's father John was the 2015 PCS champion and 2015 Tri-Holiday Series champion as well. John will try to get his season back on track as he currently ranks tenth in the standings after six races this season.

Former Stockton 99 Speedway track champion Eric Schmidt of Roseville, CA won round #1 of the Tri-Holiday on May 28th Memorial Day weekend.

The revival of the Stockton Late Models has been a huge success, with wins swept by Stockton drivers. The series highlight has been a 15 car field on Saturday night in a close race won by Gary Shafer, Jr. Ben Lewis II won the May 28th race while Chad Holman won the season opener on May 14th. 60 laps of competition is on tap for Saturday night!

Bringing back the Grand American Modifieds for points-paying action has also been an exciting storyline in 2016. Placerville's Scott Alves earned the victory last weekend ahead of Kris Price and Sammy Solari. Solari claimed the season-opener.

California Mini Cups have been busy this year as the youngest drivers at Stockton 99 Speedway. All but two drivers in the division are first year drivers. Adam "The Bullet" Lemke has leaned on his experience to win the first two races for the series with Stockton rookie Joey Stearns running second in both races.

John Medina won the first two races for the Bombers but it was Brad Mast getting Saturday's win with Medina relegated to second place. Darrin Adler has had a perfect season with all three races on the podium as these three drivers have made their mark on the class.

Racing activities get underway Friday night with practice from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. On Saturday pit gates open at 1 p.m. with first practices at 3:30 p.m. Pit Passes are $40 both days for all ages. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled for 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $20 for Adults, $15 for Juniors age 11-15 and Seniors age 60+, and Kids 10 & under are FREE!

NOCETI GROUP ANNOUNCES STOCKTON RACING SCHEDULES

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (January 15, 2016) - Tony & Carol Noceti from Noceti Group have announced the oval track racing schedules for the paved Stockton 99 Speedway and the Stockton Dirt Track for the 2016 season. The pavement schedule will be one of the largest in several years with an increased emphasis on local points racing, while the dirt track will continue to be home of dirt open wheel action in the valley.

Noceti Group also promotes the San Joaquin Asparagus Festival, which will hold its second annual revival at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds April 15-17. Organizers are emphasizing race cars more in the 2016 edition and invite race car teams of all kinds to display during Stockton's largest annual event.

The historic paved quarter-mile Stockton 99 Speedway, located at N. Wilson Way, will see the return of both Late Models and Grand American Modifieds for points racing. The Super Stock division has been re-branded as Stockton Late Models, incorporating many different engines under one unified rules package. Stockton Late Models will compete in ten races over the course of the season. Grand American Modifieds were a staple division at Stockton 99 throughout the 90s and 2000s and return after a one-year hiatus for eight points races. The popular Bomber division will also have ten points races while the track's youngest drivers in the California Mini Cups appear on the program five times.

Special events at Stockton 99 Speedway this year include the three race Tri-Holiday Series on May 28th (Memorial Day weekend), July 2nd for the Firecracker 100, and September 3rd (Labor Day weekend). 100 lap Pacific Challenge Series Super Late Model features headline all three nights. The fastest cars to ever hit the quarter-mile, King of the Wing Sprint Cars return on August 6th along with mighty BCRA Midgets. A variety of vintage classes will compete to thrill the crowd as well.

A pair of Swap Meets book end the season beginning with March 6th's 9th Annual Swap Meet
Hot Rod, Race Car & Antique Collectibles show. General admission is just $5.

Racing gets underway on May 14th for the Stockton Late Models and Grand American Modifieds with the championship points night set for September 17th.

Over on the dirt side of things, action will continue for a fourth season at the beautiful 3/8ths mile Stockton Dirt Track located inside the one-mile horse track at the San Joaquin Fairgrounds. The facility is one of the newest and nicest in the state. Preparations are already underway and tickets on sale for the "Greatest Show on Dirt" the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on March 18th and 19th. The WoO race has quickly become one of the premier motorsports events in the Central Valley. This year the Outlaws race gets even bigger as 360 Sprint Cars join the action making for a Sprint Car double header each night!

A complete weekend of racing incorporates the adjacent 1/7th mile Delta Speedway on Thursday night where professional Sprint Car drivers will appear and race with the Micro Sprint stars. Friday night will also have a post-race fan party with meet and greets and live music.

World of Outlaws sets the stage for a complete season of open wheel racing including the King of the West 410 Sprint Cars on three occasions. All three events honor a racing legend including May 21st with the Tribute to Leroy Van Connett, June 18 for the inaugural Jimmy Sills Classic, and the two day Tribute to Gary Patterson November 4th and 5th.

The popular Monster Truck Madness show returns September 30th and October 1st, plus the Summer Nationals Tractor Pulls on June 17th. The Kenny Wallace Racing Experience appears twice as well.
